Bayramiç is a small town with a population of less than 35.000. The Hadımoğlu House is well worth a visit. The house today is mainly 18th century with 20th century restoration. It is a Turkish House lavishly decorated with gildings, inlays, sculptures, frescoes, plaster ornaments and carved woods.
The most accessible route to Kaz Dağları (Mount Ida - 1774 meters, 5820 feet) is via Bayramiç to Ayazma. Pınarbaşı in Ayazma was the place where the Trojan Prince, Paris, judged the first ever beauty between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite and on choosing the goddess of love, Aphrodite, ultimately leading to the war between the Greeks and the Trojans.
The mount has lovely brooks with romantic ponds. Trout farms in Ayazma offer an affordable way to enjoy with your friends or family, taste fresh produce and see the beauty of nature. Nature trails are excellent for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, nature walks, and relaxing in the midst of restful green forests.
Population: According to the 2013 census, the population of Bayramiç is 30.117.
